The Federal Government has approved N87.4billion for the construction of section one of the Minna-Zungeru-Tegina-Kontagora highway.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, this was disclosed by Works and Housing Minister Babatunde Fashola, this while briefing State House correspondents on Wednesday in Abuja.
Fashola revealed that the FEC had authorized four memos for the ministry, the highway project being one of them.
According to him, funding for the highway project, which was approved in favor of a joint venture called DeValco HMF Construction, will be provided in 2021 under the Tax Credit Scheme.
For the purpose of awarding the contract for the construction of the Iseri North Road in Lagos that connects Ogun, the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency presented the second letter to the council.
He noted that the deal, worth N2,104,483,739, had been granted in favor of Acute Option Limited.
