Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen has named the emerging player of the year’ at the 2022 Globe Soccer Awards.
The 23-year-old Napoli striker was named the winner of the prestigious award at the gala which was held at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on Thursday.

He defeated the likes of Barcelona Gavi and Federico Valverde of Real Madrid to clinch the award which was meant for the best young football talent in the world.
The lanky forward has been spectacular for Napoli in the last two seasons. The Super Eagles striker has registered 38 goals and 12 assists in 76 appearances.
Since the award’s category debuted this year, he is its first recipient.
Fans’ votes and an international jury of athletic directors, coaches, and club presidents were combined to determine the winners.
