The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully recovered a number of rustled cattle during a routine surveillance patrol aimed at crime prevention and detection.
The command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the development in a statement issued early Friday. However, he did not disclose the exact number of cattle retrieved.
Nguroje said, “The Command has taken into custody the recovered cattle for proper handling pending investigation.”
He further relayed the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, who called on individuals with missing or stolen cattle to visit the Police Divisional Headquarters in Numan with valid proof of ownership for verification and retrieval.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, urges members of the public, especially those whose cattle were either missing or stolen to report to Police Divisional headquarters, Numan, with proofs of ownership and claim it,” Nguroje stated.
