The Oyo State Government has appointed three new Executive Secretaries to oversee the activities of the Universal Basic Education Board across the state’s three senatorial districts.
The Chairman of OYOSUBEB, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, made the announcement on Wednesday during a meeting with Administrative Officers of the Local Government Universal Basic Education Authorities at the board’s headquarters in Ibadan.
Governor Seyi Makinde approved the appointments of Dr. Kemi Adeosun, Dr. Adebola Ayegboyin, and Mr. Raji Fatai, based on their experience and expertise in the education sector.
“These individuals are accomplished educationists and strong advocates of good governance,” Adeniran stated.
“Their appointments followed a rigorous selection process, including competitive examinations alongside new Permanent Secretaries.”
He explained that the new appointees would collaborate with the board’s substantive Executive Secretary, Mrs. Olaide Ladipo, to ensure the smooth implementation of basic education policies across the state.
Adeniran urged the new officials to uphold transparency and efficiency in their respective senatorial districts. “We expect them to drive the OYOSUBEB mandate of strengthening basic education in Oyo State with dedication and integrity,” he added.
The appointments are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the state’s basic education system and improve learning outcomes for pupils across Oyo State.
