Nigerians have taken to Social media to commend popular comedian, Bovi, for funding the renovation of the University of Benin Staff School in Edo State, where he had his primary school education.
This was disclosed by his colleague, Francis Agoda aka I Go Dye, who shared pictures and videos from the inauguration on his Instagram page on Monday.
The renovation included classroom repainting, restroom reconstruction, rewiring and replacement of fans in classrooms.
He captioned the post, “Today I accompany my brother #officialbovi in commissioning this project. It’s really inspiring to remember one’s humble beginning and give back to nurture it. Bovi has shown a great sense of purpose and gratitude by renovating this magnificent educational project, his primary school, University of Benin Staff School this will inspire the younger generation in years to come.”
Reacting to the development, a social media user named Oluwaseun Ekene commented,” Na this kind of things I wan dey see for Nigeria no be crime matter every time. God bless you Bovi.”
Another user, Onyekachi Obiora added, “God bless you and bless every Nigeria to be a blessing to our Nation we mu not wait for govt.”
This is just as Babalola Adelakun said, “Good to see your COMPASSIONATE HEART towards your elementary education, and good things shall follow you all the days of your life.”
David Chiweze also added, “Since the government can’t do it for our children let us use our own hard-earned funds and show them that we can do it without them. Bravo my boss. God will continue to bless you.”
Anighogho Blessing also commented, “AY has been using Warri to cash out since the beginning of his career. He has never done anything for the city of Warri a place that he used it’s name to build is career. He is one of the richest in the game but uncle nor gree do anything for the town.
