A massive fire broke out at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research office in Oshodi, Lagos, near Cappa Bus Stop, causing significant damage to property.
According to Vanguard, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, working alongside the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, has been battling the inferno since it started around midnight on Christmas Day.
As of 4 a.m. on Boxing Day, firefighting and rescue efforts were still ongoing.
Although no casualties have been reported, the blaze has destroyed property valued at millions of naira.
Emergency responders are striving to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby offices and buildings.
