Nigeria’s Ese Brume made record-breaking jumps to win a gold medal in the long jump event at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games on Sunday.
The Nigerian long-jump sensation who won the Bronze at the 2020 Olympics broke the CWG record twice by first jumping 6.99m and then 7m in the last round to successfully regain her CWG long jump title from 2014.
Brume now holds a medal at every major championship she has featured in this year, including the 2022 World Athletics Championships (Indoor) in Belgrade, Serbia and the World Athletics Championships(Outdoor) held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, United States
