Ghanaian Footballer, Christian Atsu, who was reported missing in the earthquake that rocked Turkey on Monday has been reported found.
The player who currently plays in the Turkish league was said to have been declared missing after the earthquake.
Hours before the incident, Atsu, scored a lovely free kick in the 97th minutes to give his side, Hatayspor, victory in a league game against Kasimapasa.
In a latest development, multiple international news outlets has confirmed that the player has been found alive but injured.
Marca, Goal.com, all quoted Portuguese Media Platform, A Bola, stating that the player has been rescued.
The club’s manager, Mustafa Özat, has also confirmed the development.
“Christian Atsu was removed from the wreckage with injuries,” Özat told Turkish radio channel Radyo Gol.
Also, Italian Sport journalist, Fabrizio Romano, on Tuesday morning posted on his social media page that Atsu, has been found.
“Christian Atsu has been found alive and has now been rescued from the rubble and transported to hospital after suffering injuries to his right foot and suffering from breathing difficulties,” he posted.
