The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has intercepted illicit drugs hidden within tins of Cerelac baby food.
This discovery was revealed by the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, through videos shared on X.com on Sunday.
Babafemi highlighted the lengths to which traffickers go to smuggle drugs, noting the unusual method of using baby food tins.
He urged the public to exercise caution when accepting packages from others while travelling, stressing the severe penalties for those caught with illegal substances.
“Never accept packages of unknown content from anyone when travelling,” Babafemi advised. “Remember, possession of illegal substances carries a 15-year jail sentence.”
