A popular plank market in Ipaja, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos state has been razed by fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined as at the time of filing this report, however, from a video shared by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority on their official Twitter handle on Wednesday morning, it was seen that most of the shops in the market were burnt.
It was also gathered that men of the Lagos Rescue team have been beckoned on and have the situation under control.
The caption to the video read, “Moment the plant market in Ipaja, Alimosho engulfed in flames.
“Men of @lagosrescue are currently managing the situation. Kindly reroute your movements.”
Meanwhile, in a more recent statement by the agency it was gathered that the fire has been put out.
The statement read, “The earlier reported fire incident at Pako has been put out and traffic is better now. Men strategically located.”
