The United Kingdom has stated its intention to assist the Multinational Joint Task Force in carrying out its mission.
This was revealed on Monday when the British Defence Advisor to Nigeria, Brigadier General Matt Munro, visited the MNJTF Headquarters.
The British Defence Advisor was upbeat about the future and expressed confidence that the UK’s support will enable the MNJTF to make crucial breakthroughs, from careful preparation to expert operation execution.
Brig Gen Munro emphasized the importance of the task force in maintaining regional security and stability while reiterating Britain’s commitment to strengthening its strategic cooperation with the international coalition as the contribution is likely to greatly increase the MNJTF’s operational capacity.
The Force Commander, Major General Gold Chibuisi, responded and thanked the British government on behalf of the Deputy Force Commander, Brigadier General Assoulai Blama.
He expressed gratitude for the assistance it has been getting from the MNJTF Cell for Coordination and Liaison, a crucial link in the strategic alliance.
The British government’s consistent support, according to the Deputy Force Commander, is an excellent example of how nations should work together to promote world peace.
