The Police Service Commission has named Assistant Inspector General of Police, Jonathan Towuru, as the new Deputy Inspector General of Police representing the South-South geopolitical zone.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, PSC spokesperson Ikechukwu Ani confirmed Towuru’s appointment, noting that he succeeds DIG Daniel Pedro, who recently retired from his role overseeing Information and Communications Technology.
“Born on December 6, 1965, in Ouwodo Kpokpo Olomu, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, DIG Towuru brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career in the Nigeria Police Force,” Ani stated.
