Popular music producer ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has shared a deeply personal story about his health on social media.
On Wednesday, Omori posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed on Instagram, revealing that his brother had donated a kidney to save his life.
In his post, Omori wrote, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”
The award-winning producer, who has been out of the public eye for some time, is shown in the photo visibly emotional and receiving oxygen.
Prior to the surgery, he had been hinting at health issues through cryptic messages on social media. Just last month, he posted on X (formerly Twitter), “If I cross your mind, sometimes say a prayer for me.”
The revelation has sparked concern among fans and followers, who have flooded social media with messages of support and prayers for Omori’s recovery.
A user with the handle #Mr Ebony expressed, “The biggest sacrifices are from families, especially brothers. Quick recovery, bruh.” Another user, tweeting under #Ikorodu President, added, “Ohh really, hadn’t you told me, I would have gladly given you one of mine so you can live.”
Fans continue to offer words of encouragement, with #Honest30bgfan saying, “Stay strong, wishing you a speedy recovery. Nothing go do you in Jesus’ name,” and #Realtimmywrld advising, “When they tell you to stop smoking, you guys won’t listen. Thank God for giving you a second chance.”
Winifred, another supporter on X.com, described Omori as “such a sweet soul” and wished him a “quick healing.”
