Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, showcased her exceptional skills as she was named Player of the Match during Paris FC’s intense battle against PSG in the French women’s league playoffs semi-final on Saturday night.
Despite the game ending in a 2-2 draw after regulation time, PSG emerged victorious in a thrilling penalty shootout, with a 5-4 scoreline.
Nnadozie’s performance was remarkable, making seven crucial saves and two clearances throughout the match.
The playoffs continue with the other semi-final between Olympique Lyon and Stade de Reim taking place today (Sunday).
Nnadozie and her team will compete in the third-place playoffs on Friday, 17th May 2024, against either Lyon or Stade de Reim.
The top two teams from the playoffs will qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League next season.
Paris FC also has a chance to qualify for the Champions League if they secure victory in the third-place playoffs.
