Award-winning star artist, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has yet again made Nigeria proud and making history while at it following her Oscar nomination.
Tems has become the first Nigerian musician to be nominated for an Oscar, for her work on Rihanna’s song ‘Lift Me Up’ from the Wakanda Forever soundtrack, according to BBC News Africa.
The 27-year-old had co-written the song with the widely acclaimed artist, Rihanna, in honour of the “Wakanda Forever” hero, Boseman Chadwick, who passed on in 2021 after a long battle with colon cancer.
The Mavins Record signed singer, Tems, has in recent time, attracted incredible fame, within and beyond the African continent.
The “Crazy Things” crooner, was asked on a musical project collaboration by American rap legend, Snoop Dogg, referring to himself as a ‘fan’.
In response, Tems bragged about being a GOAT and attracting fellow GOATs who spot themselves easily.
