Less than 24 hours after Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, was released from Police custody, he has appeared at the Magistrates Court, Yaba, on Wednesday, for the continuation of his trial over alleged assault on a Police officer.
Seun was in company of his wife as well as his lawyer.
The musician left Police facility in Panti on Tuesday night after fulfilling his bail terms.
His trial earlier slated for Tuesday was adjourned to Wednesday following the absence of Justice Adeola Olatubosun of the Chief Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State.
According to Seun’s lawyers, the trial was adjourned as a result of the judge attending a training course.
It would be recalled that Justice Adeola Olatubosun of the Chief Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State, reportedly adjourned the trial of Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, to Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
The trial, which was slated for today, May 23, 2023, was said to have been adjourned as a result of the judge’s absence from the court.
“The trial has been adjourned till tomorrow, May 24, 2023, because the judge is not around, the source said.
