Randal Kolo Muani’s 89th-minute penalty sealed a narrow 2-1 victory for Juventus over Como in Serie A on Friday, despite an unconvincing performance.
Kolo Muani, who is on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, continued his red-hot form by scoring twice for the second consecutive game.
The forward opened the scoring in the 34th minute, blasting a shot into the roof of the net from a difficult angle.
However, Como struck back just before halftime. Patrick Cutrone dispossessed Teun Koopmeiners on the left flank and delivered a pinpoint cross, which Assane Diao calmly headed home to equalize.
Juventus secured all three points when Kolo Muani converted from the penalty spot after Jean Butez handled the ball in the box.
The in-form striker has now netted five goals in his last three matches.
The victory moved Juventus up to fourth place, a point clear of Lazio and Fiorentina, who both have a game in hand.
Lazio faces bottom-placed Monza on Sunday, while Fiorentina takes on second-placed Inter Milan on Monday.
For Como, the defeat marked their third straight loss, leaving them in 15th position, just two points above the relegation zone.
