On Monday, security forces in the Karu area of the Federal Capital Territory disrupted a gathering of protesters, arresting three individuals in the process.
According to The PUNCH, one of the demonstrators, Yahaya Abdullahi, the security personnel employed teargas to disperse the group shortly after they began assembling.
“As soon as our people started coming out, the police and other security agents began firing teargas at us and arrested some of our people. We know of three arrests so far.”
