Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has emerged as the most followed Nigerian governor on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, according to the latest rankings released by Statisense for August 2024.
Sanwo-Olu tops the list with an impressive 2.08 million followers, significantly ahead of his counterparts across the country.
In second place is Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who commands a strong online presence with 763,000 followers.
Following closely are Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State, and Babagana Zulum, Governor of Borno State, both with 241,000 followers.
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke rounds out the top five with 234,000 followers, reflecting his continued popularity on social media.
Other notable governors on the list include Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun (202,000 followers), Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani (200,000 followers), and Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki (183,000 followers).
Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo also makes the top ten with 163,000 followers, showcasing his active engagement with his audience online.
