Social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has called on the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control to investigate a self-proclaimed cleric, Pastor Jeremiah, over his claims of selling miracle soaps and waters.
In a video shared by VeryDarkMan, Pastor Jeremiah asserted that his soaps can cure various afflictions, including suffering and childlessness.
He stated, “If you want to use miracle soap, use this one. I wonder, are you not tired of suffering. This soap is approved by NAFDAC number. It’s not company. My own is just to say the word of God into it. I used it and succeeded with it.”
Reacting to this development, VeryDarkMan expressed his intent to petition NAFDAC to clarify the basis on which these soaps are approved for sale.
He remarked, “You heard this man that said he sells soap that will stop your suffering and is going to turn your life around. First thing I will do is call my people. Let them help petition NAFDAC to tell me the basis at which this soap is approved for Nigerians to buy from this pastor.”
He emphasized that if NAFDAC cannot provide a satisfactory explanation, he would accuse them of corruption.
“If you want to register a product with NAFDAC, it will ask you the ingredients you use to produce. The man has to explain what the products contain that make them cure suffering,” he said.
VeryDarkMan also detailed the prices of Pastor Jeremiah’s products to include, ‘The Pool of Bethesda’, N2,500, ‘Water of Life’, N3,000, “New Beginning Pools of Batshesda’, N3,000, ‘Miracle Water Triple Impartation’, N3,000, ‘Miracle and Healing Water’, N3,000, ‘Divine Water’ which was N3,000 before is now N5,000. Also, ‘I Must Carry My Twins’ is now N10,000, and ‘Fastlane Water’ is N5,000.”
He further questioned the pastor’s motives, saying, “If you claimed that God gives you these powers, why are you now selling the power to people? So you have power that God gave you to cure suffering, why are you selling it and allowing people to suffer? Why are you asking people to buy the power that God gave you to cure people of suffering? Does that even make sense to you, sir?”
He proposed a challenge to validate the claims, noting, “If I will buy that Water of Life, I will buy it worth one million naira, and you will need to follow me to the hospital. We’ll be giving it to people, and if they come back to life, both of us will enter into trouble.”
VeryDarkMan concluded by criticizing Pastor Jeremiah for exploiting vulnerable people, saying, “You just came and took advantage of vulnerable people. I don’t want to say more so that they won’t say I’m defaming the man.”
