The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged collective action from various sectors, including religious institutions and organizations, to support the government.
The cleric emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu alone cannot resolve the ongoing hardships in Nigeria.
In a statement on Sunday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele indicated that the difficulties would persist for the next four years, as the current administration lacks the means to alleviate them.
He advocated for a communal approach, where Nigerians contribute their personal resources to assist the government.
“Tinubu doesn’t have the solution except you want to kill him or he is deceiving himself. We should rather help the government through our individual resources; churches, mosques organizations should come together,” he stated.
Ayodele further remarked on the need for Tinubu to address specific errors and acknowledged that even multiple broadcasts wouldn’t ease the nation’s suffering.
“He needs to correct the errors in Emilokan, even if he broadcasts 100 times, Nigerians still have to bear the pain. Tinubu doesn’t have the solution to hardship, he will only talk to pacify Nigerians. We will wait for another four years,” he said.
The cleric noted that the president appears to be working in isolation, without adequate support from others within his administration.
“People are not helping the president, it feels like he is the only one working in his administration, except we want to deceive ourselves, the hardship cannot end anytime soon,” Ayodele reiterated.
He concluded by highlighting the necessity for the government to implement cost-cutting measures and addressing potential complaints about the minimum wage.
He asserted that significant improvements would not be feasible within the next four years.
“The government needs to cut costs, even the minimum wage, they will soon complain about it. There are so many things the government needs to do, Tinubu cannot get it done in the next four years,” he added.
