The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a search for a man caught on camera violently kicking a young boy, an act that has sparked widespread outrage online.
The disturbing video, originally posted on Facebook by a user identified as Adelere Rasaki, quickly went viral.
It shows the man delivering a forceful kick to the child, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground, leading to distressing cries.
Rasaki, in his caption, identified the suspect as Odukaye Kunle and provided an address in Oko Baale, Ado Odo Ota, Ogun State. “This man, Odukaye Kunle, by name is not supposed to be living among the sane. Please help repost till the long hand of the law gets to him,” Rasaki wrote.
Reacting to the incident, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, called for urgent intervention from the Ogun State Police.
“This is sad and callous. Why?? Anger is destructive,” Adejobi posted on X (formerly Twitter). He further stressed the importance of ensuring the child receives medical care.
“Also confirm if the child has been accorded medical attention, assessment, and treatment because of possible head injury or internal bleeding. The impact on him is much. Let’s act fast on this,” he added.
Adejobi urged anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the Ogun State Police Command to assist in his apprehension.
