The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, announced the prohibition of the ongoing #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protest following an address by President Bola Tinubu to the demonstrators.
According to The PUNCH, Fayoade declared that any public gatherings related to the protest would now be considered illegal.
“The protest has been called off in response to the President’s speech. The protesters are now awaiting the fulfilment of their demands by the President,” Fayoade stated.
“In light of this, any further assemblies will be deemed unlawful. We will enforce the law accordingly,” he added.
