The Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Kaduna State Police Command has successfully arrested a notorious kidnapper named Abdulrahman.
The suspect, who is from Karshi, Abuja, was detained with an AK-47 rifle and 27 rounds of live ammunition.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the state Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, revealed that Abdulrahman confessed to being involved in multiple kidnappings in the Ikara Local Government Area during interrogation.
Commending the officers responsible for the arrest, Commissioner of Police Audu Dabigi praised their dedication and effectiveness, highlighting the significance of this breakthrough in the ongoing battle against kidnapping in the state.
Hassan noted that the investigation is ongoing and that Abdulrahman will face prosecution once preliminary investigations are completed.
“The arrest of this notorious kidnapper is a testament to our commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Kaduna State,” said CP Audu Ali Dabigi.
“Our officers have shown exemplary work in apprehending Abdulrahman, and we will continue to ensure the safety and security of our residents.”
