Banyana Banyana of South Africa will arrive Abuja next week Monday for their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Nigeria.
Super Falcons have started preparation for the highly anticipated fourth round contest at the Tuks High Performance Centre, Pretoria on Tuesday.
The players and their officials will depart Pretoria on Monday and arrive in Abuja same day.
They will be joined in Nigeria by their foreign-based counterparts.
Desiree Ellis’ side will face Nigeria in the first leg on 5 April before welcoming their familiar foes at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on 9 April 2024.
The overall winners will compete in Group C at the Paris Games.
Nigeria and South Africa have met 13 times, with the Super Falcons winning seven, while Bayana Bayana won three and others ended in a draw.
Both sides also met twice in the 2018 edition in Ghana; Bayana Bayana won the Group game 1-0, and the Falcons avenged the defeat later in the final via a penalty shoot-out.4 Jul 2022
