The Ogun Area One Command of the Nigeria Customs Service reported intercepting illegal goods worth more than N5 billion and making N97,887,777.50 in revenue in 2022.
He pointed out that the money collected in 2022 increased from N36,655,401.50 in 2021 by over 300%.
Speaking about the seizures made over the course of a year, Makinde revealed that 957 seizures were made, including 130 units of automobiles and 45,773 bags of foreign rice, which is the equivalent of 76 trailer loads.
