Emmanuel Dennis has been left off Nottingham Forest’s final 25-man squad list for the 2023/24 Premier League season.
After turning down a loan transfer to Russian club CSKA Moscow, the Nigerian attacker was declared surplus to requirements.
He is apparently close to joining Adana Demirspor and Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey, with both teams rejecting bids for the 26-year-old before the deadline on Friday.
According to a transfer football expert, Fabrizio Romano, both Turkish teams have been told to offer loan bids for the Nigerian, with his wage fully covered in the planned transaction.
The Tricky Trees, however, included Dennis compatriots Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina in their squad for the season.
Awoniyi, who led Forest in scoring last season with 10 goals, has maintained his hot streak, scoring three goals through four EPL games.
Aina is one of the 11 defenders that Steve Cooper has registered for the season, having only joined Forest this summer on a free transfer after leaving Serie A’s Torino.
