The National Emergency Management Agency in Lagos on Wednesday welcomed no less than 102 stranded Nigerians who had been evacuated from Libya.
According to Vanguard, a statement provided by the agency claimed that the Director-General of NEMA, Mr. Mustapha Ahmed, officially received the returnees on behalf of the Federal Government.
According to the statement, 102 returns included 96 females, 2 males, and 4 newborns.
It also stated that the returning passengers flew on an Al Buraq Air Boeing 737-800 with the registration number 5A-DMG and arrived at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos late on Tuesday night.
According to the DG, “The federal government was dedicated to making sure that Nigerian people were safeguarded no matter where they were.”
