The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, has intercepted a significant consignment of illicit drugs concealed in a specially built compartment of a bus.
According to the agency, the secret compartment was ingeniously designed to evade detection, allowing traffickers to smuggle illegal substances across international borders.
Femi Babafemi, NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, shared videos of the intercepted drugs on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, showcasing the level of sophistication employed by the traffickers in concealing the contraband.
“But for the intelligence and professionalism of NDLEA officers, who would have imagined that removing a vehicle’s bumper would reveal a hidden compartment in the belly of a bus designed solely for drug trafficking? Another cartel has been dismantled,” Babafemi stated.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to combating drug smuggling and disrupting criminal networks involved in illicit drug trade.
