Fresh FM 106.9 FM, a privately owned radio broadcast station based in Ado, Ekiti State, has made the decision to suspend the broadcast of songs by Nigerian artist Azeez Fashola, widely recognized as Naira Marley, until further notice.
This information was revealed through an Instagram post shared by the radio station, @freshfm1069adoekiti, and officially signed by Oluwaseunfunmi Williams, the Head of Production and Music Content.
The ban comes in the wake of the passing of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, widely recognized as MohBad, and amid mounting criticisms directed at Naira Marley.
Additionally, on Monday, another radio station, Splash FM 105.5 Ibadan in Oyo state, also announced a ban on the airing of songs by Naira Marley.
