Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde has urged the newly inaugurated members of the state advisory council to focus on advocating issues that affect the general well being of the people in the state than advancing personal agenda.
According to Tribune, the Governor gave the charge during the inauguration ceremony of an eight man advisory council chaired by Mobolaji Ayorinde SAN held at the executive council chambers of the Governor’s office
He emphasized that efforts must be geared in creating a new Oyo state where laws are adhered to and the people become progressively minded.
While calling the attention of the council to several areas of concern in need of intervention in the state, Governor Makinde also tasked the council to push the state to thrive by driving interventions that would curb anomalies in the state.
In a remark, chairman of the advisory council, Mobolaji Ayorinde assured that the council would work in tandem with its mandate by ensuring it champion cases of general interest.
Meanwhile, the Governor had earlier inaugurated a five man governing council for the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education chaired by Professor Ayoade Ogunkunle with Professor Joshiah Ajiboye, Professor Abass Adedibu, Chief Isaac Koleosho and Hon. Funmilayo Orisadeyi as members.
