Liverpool have agreed on a deal to allow Senegalese player, Sadio Mane, to make a move to Bayern Munich for a fee worth £35 million.
Bayern had two early bids of £25 million and £30 million rejected for the Reds forward after losing out on a chance to sign Erling Haaland.
According to Sky News, Mane’s switch to Munich is now a ‘done deal’ after Liverpool accepted an improved offer from the Bundesliga champions.
Bayern are expected to pay an initial £27.5 million and an additional £5 million based on appearance. There is also a clause of £2.5 million that will be paid to Liverpool, which depends on the individual and team achievements.
While Bayern have reportedly rejected offers from Barcelona’s offer of €32 million-plus €5 million in add-on for Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, the German side are hopeful he will stay and pair with Mane.
The deal, when finalised, is expected to draw the curtain on an iconic six-year Anfield career for the Senegalese which saw him produce 120 goals in 269 games while winning every major honour available.
