A late strike from Bradley Barcola secured a 2-1 triumph for Paris Saint-Germain over Lens on Saturday, further solidifying their position atop the Ligue 1 standings.
Barcola delivered the decisive blow four minutes from time, latching onto a pass from Joao Neves on the left side of the penalty area and firing a powerful shot into the top right corner.
With this win, PSG extended their lead at the summit with 46 points, 10 clear of second-placed Marseille, who are set to host Strasbourg on Sunday.
Lens, meanwhile, remain in seventh place with 27 points.
The home side initially shocked the reigning champions nine minutes before halftime when M’Bala Nzola exploited space at the far post, skillfully converting a flicked corner with a composed finish from close range.
Nzola appeared to double the advantage early in the second half after breaking into the box and finding the net from a through ball, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call.
PSG found their equaliser just before the hour mark, as Barcola battled his way into the box and set up Fabian Ruiz, who coolly finished unmarked to level the score.
Both teams created opportunities in a tense finale, but Barcola’s late effort sealed PSG’s 14th league victory of the campaign.
