Ogun State Government has disclosed that the landlords without toilets in their houses would forfeit the property to the government.
According to Guardian, Commissioner for Environment, Ola Oresanya, made this known adding tha the state government has already commenced a campaign against open defecation.
This follows the state government’s commitment to address the menace of open defecation in the state.
Oresanya explained that the government would give a period of compliance to enable landlords convert one of the rooms to a toilet.
He said, “The law permits us to take over such a house. It is in the public interest so that you don’t endanger the lives of the people living in the community
