The Katsina State Police Command have arrested a series of suspected drug suppliers for terrorists, as well as robbery suspects in different operations carried out in the state.
The spokesman for the command, SP Gambo Isah, issued a statement on Thursday disclosing this, according to The PUNCH.
In one operation, he stated that a suspect, 20-year-old Jamilu Ibrahim, of Dungun Muazu village, in the Sabuwa Local Government Area, was arrested for allegedly supplying drugs to terrorists.
The command also arrested two men, Sani Ibrahim, 45, and Magaji Mamman, inside a Golf car while supplying drugs suspected to be hemp to a customer in Niger Republic.
In another operation, two ex-convicts, Aminu Lawal, 32, and Isah Mohammed, 30, were arrested for robbery and car-snatching.
Isah noted that Lawal, who confessed to being a member of an armed robbery and car-snatching syndicate terrorising the state, was arrested on Monday, December 17, 2022, around 1.15am.
While, Mohammed was also said to have been arrested on December 9, 2022, around 12.30am, as he was riding a motorcycle suspected to have been snatched from its owner.
The spokesman gave the names of four other suspects arrested on December 8 for robbery in Katsina as Umaru Adamu, 20; Hamza Lawal, 19; Abubakar Ismail, 22; and Isah Isman, 22.
