Katsina State has allocated over ₦30 billion to tackle insecurity across the state, according to the Commissioner for Security, Nasiru Danmusa.
In a statement released on Saturday, Danmusa highlighted that the significant funding is part of Governor Dikko Radda’s efforts to address the security challenges and bring lasting peace to the state.
The commissioner explained that the funds would be directed towards bolstering security forces, improving intelligence operations, and supporting community-based crime prevention initiatives.
“This investment is aimed at enhancing the capacity of our security agencies and empowering local communities to play a role in crime prevention,” Danmusa stated.
He expressed confidence in the state’s ongoing efforts to curb crime, noting a significant decline in incidents of banditry and other criminal activities.
“Our proactive measures are beginning to yield positive results, with a noticeable decrease in banditry and related crimes,” he said.
Danmusa emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its residents.
“The government is fully committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of its citizens. We will not rest until we have fully conquered the issue of insecurity in Katsina State,” he affirmed.
He also called on all residents to join the fight against insecurity, stating, “The battle against insecurity is a collective responsibility. We must all work together to eliminate this threat and restore peace to our communities.”
