A group under aegis of the Arewa United for Peace Foundation of Imo State has urged the Sate Governor Hope Uzodinma to probe the distribution of 200 Hajj seats giving to the Hausa Community last year.
Chairman of the group, which is making the needs of Hausa Community in the State known, Nura Shattima, made this disclosure.
He made this accusation in the state over alleged diversion of Uzodinma’s gift of Hajj seats to others.
Nura noted that the Hausa Community in Imo has been excited by the assistance the governor has been giving to it.
Praising the exceptional leadership of the Uzodinma, Nura, said the he is the only governor in both the southeast and South South that gave the Hausa Community Hajj Seats.
“This goodwill of Over 200 seats from the Governor has been selfishly and unilaterally given out to cronies, others sold out, to the detriment of majority of eminently-qualified beneficiaries”, he alleged.
The chairman equally disclosed that when Uzodinma allocated a plot of land to the Arewa Community in Imo, to help them strengthen their economic activity, it was also allegedly manipulated just like the distribution of stores.
The group then called on the Imo State Government to constitute a committee to investigate the houses distribution in the state.
It hoped that the Governo would take appropriate action to forestall a repeat of the unpleasant Hajj seats, alleged diversion, and undermining of other kind gestures of the amiable governor.
