Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has firmly dismissed rumours suggesting he might cut his season short at Galatasaray and make a January exit.
The Nigerian forward, who joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on loan from Napoli this past summer, has been a standout in his new team, tallying six goals and four assists in just eight appearances.
Despite his strong start, speculation has been mounting that the prolific striker could leave the Istanbul club mid-season, as several European giants reportedly eye him as a potential winter transfer target.
However, Osimhen has put these rumours to rest, confirming his commitment to Galatasaray until the season concludes.
Addressing the speculation, the 25-year-old clarified his stance in an interview with Nexus Sports, stating, “They are talking about January. I am here until the end of the season. I don’t know what Galatasaray and Napoli are talking about after that.”
Osimhen added, “We will talk when they tell me. This is a club I really like,” emphasizing his affinity for the Yellow and Reds and his intention to focus solely on his current campaign at RAMS Park.
As Galatasaray aim to defend their Super Lig title, Osimhen’s loyalty and impressive form continue to boost their title ambitions.
