The newly appointed Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (retd.), has officially arrived in the state to assume his duties.
Ibas landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport at approximately 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, where he was warmly received by senior government officials and security operatives.
Accompanied by the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 16, Ibas proceeded directly to Government House, Port Harcourt.
Upon arrival, he was given a tour of the premises by key government officials.
At present, the Sole Administrator is engaged in a closed-door meeting with top security officers, a delegation from the Federal Government, and state government representatives.
His assumption of office follows his swearing-in by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.
