Argentina goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, has revealed player to several Ballon d’OR awards when Lionel Messi and Cristisno Ronaldo finally retire from active football.
The Aston Villa goalkeeper revealed this via All About Argentina.
He tipped Paris Saint-Germain’s forward, Kylian Mbappe to win several Ballon d’Or awards after Messi and Ronaldo retired from the game.
Messi, 36, has won the Ballon d’Or eight times, while Ronaldo, 38, has won five.
The duo have dominated the title of the world’s best player for the past 15 years.
While speaking about the Ballon d’Or, Martinez also argued that he has a lot of respect for Mbappe.
“I have a lot of respect for him… when Leo and Cristiano retire he will keep the way and will win a lot of Ballon d’Ors,” the Aston Villa goalkeeper said (quoted via All About Argentina).
Mbappe recently finished in third position in the 2023 Ballon d’Or ranking behind Erling Haaland and Messi.
