Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq has inaugurated six new judges to serve at the Kwara State High Court.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Friday, September 13, at the Government House in Ilorin.
This was disclosed by Kwara Governor, Abdulrahman Abdurazak in a post on Saturday, September 14.
During the event, Governor AbdulRazaq called on the newly appointed judges to uphold justice with integrity and fairness. “I urge the newly appointed judges to discharge their duties with diligence, impartiality, and an overriding interest in the community and national security,” he said. “They are entrusted with the immense responsibility of ensuring justice and protecting the rights of every citizen.”
The governor also acknowledged the judges’ hard work and dedication, which earned them the esteemed positions.
“I congratulate the new judges and their families. Their noble qualities and dedication have brought them to this moment,” he added.
As part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary, Governor AbdulRazaq revealed ongoing efforts to improve judicial infrastructure in the state.
“Our government recently approved the reconstruction of the former Revenue Court at GRA Ilorin to serve as courtrooms for more judges,” he stated.
“We are also working on creating a more suitable environment for the Revenue Courts, and plans are underway for the construction of a new court complex to provide more befitting courtrooms.”
