The Kano State Police Command headquarters at Bompai, Nasarawa Local Government Area, has been razed by fire with many offices and files burnt.
An anonymous source revealed that the fire started at about 2pm, ravaging structures from the Provost Office down to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
While the entire top floor of the one-storey building was burnt, however, the office of the state Police Commissioner, Mamman Dauda, was spared.
It was gathered that men of the state fire service were deployed to the scene immediately to contain the damage caused by the fire.
As at the time of this report, the cause of the inferno was yet unknown.
