The Federal Government has ordered an immediate investigation into the accident involving the Lagos Mass Transit Train belonging to the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Lagos staff bus.
PUNCH METRO on Thursday morning had reported that the moving train rammed into the Lagos State Government staff bus with registration no 04A- 48LA at PWD, Ikeja area of the state.
The incident has led to the death of two passengers with several others reported injured.
Reacting to the incident, the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika in a press statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Dr. James Odaudu, has directed the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, to commence Immediate investigation of the incident.
“Our investigators have been notified and we are mobilizing them to the site of the accident”, he said.
The minister also commiserated with the people of Lagos State, while he also prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
