The Federal High Court’s Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho, has announced that the court’s annual vacation for 2023 will start on July 24.
According to The Punch, this was said by Tsoho on Friday in a statement made available by the FHC’s Assistant Director of Information, Dr. Catherine Oby-Christopher, in Abuja.
The vacation, which the CJ said would start on Monday, July 24, and end on Friday, September 25, he said.
“The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Honourable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, announces it’s 2023 Annual Vacation and Roster for Vacation Judges under Order 46, Rule 4(d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.
“The vacation will start on July 24 and last until September 15.
“The court will reconvene on September 18.”
It stated that this was done so that the honorable judges could take a well-earned break and get ready for the rigors of the upcoming legal year.
The statement claimed that as a result, only the under-listed functional courts that are closest to them will be open to the public litigants.
The judges going on vacation are Hon. Justices A. R. Mohammed and O. A. Egwuatu for the Abuja division; Hon. Justices I. N. Oweibo and A. Aluko for the Lagos division; and Hon. Justices A. T. Mohammed and S. I. Mark for the Port-Harcourt division.”
“The Honorable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, wishes his fellow lordships a wonderful vacation in advance,” the statement read.
