The family of Ibadan-based comedian, Oluwatobi Owomoyela, professionally known as Peteru have released an official statement announcing his passing away.
Peteru allegedly died on Thursday after a reported battle with cancer, as announced by his colleagues on social media.
In an official statement on Thursday, the family have also announced his death.
The statement read, “Thy will be done.
“The Owomoyela family regrets to announce the death of Oluwatobi ‘Peteru’ Owomoyela who until his death was a loving son, father, husband, brother, uncle and comedian extraordinaire.
“Peteru died in the Early hours of THURSDAY, 22ND DECEMBER 2022
“The entire family is devastated and all we can ask for at this time is for the public to kindly allow the family grieve and mourn this huge loss.
“Burial details will be communicated to the public in due course while we request that you put the Owomoyela family in your prayers.”
