Suspected armed robbers have raided the home of the Newcastle United star, Alexander Isak.
Isak’s home was reportedly broken into before Newcastle’s clash with Fulham.
Reports from the Sun revealed that the gang struck at the £100million striker’s luxury home just 48 hours before he played in Newcastle’s 1-0 win at Fulham in the Premiere League on Saturday.
The Swede played 90 minutes on Saturday as Eddie Howe’s side secured three points at Craven Cottage courtesy of a late goal from Bruno Guimaraes.
This was not the first time robbers would break into the Premier League stars’ home.
The incident marks the latest example of Premier League footballers being targeted by burglars in recent months.
Three months ago Isak’s teammate Joelinton’s home a mile away was raided.
No-one has been arrested for that burglary and detectives will be investigating whether the same team is responsible.
Cops were told about the raid on Isak’s home on the Darras Hall estate in Northumberland at 10pm on Thursday.
The gang are thought to have gained entry to the four-bedroom property through rear patio doors earlier in the evening.
It is not known whether Isak, 24, or any family were at home at the time or what, if anything, was taken.
Cops confirmed a car was stolen and later found abandoned three miles away in Dissington.
In December Manchester City star Jack Grealish’s £5.6million Cheshire pad was raided by thieves while he was playing.
They made off with £1million in watches and gems.
Chelsea star, Raheem Sterling, raced back from the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 after raiders stole £300,000 worth of designer watches from his home in Surrey.
Other stars who have also been targeted are Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Victor Lindelof.
