Popular Nigerian gospel minister Dunsi Oyekan’s hit single ‘Judah’ has inspired a study plan on the widely downloaded Bible application, You Version.
On Monday evening, Oyekan shared the announcement with his 1.7 million Instagram followers, asking his fans ” to understand how praise leads to breakthroughs, strengthens your faith, and aligns you with God’s plan.”
Punch Metro reports that the nine-minute-long track which debuted at The Experience Concert 2024 before its release on January 3rd 2025 sparked a viral dance challenge on social media.
The seven-day devotional was created by popular American music group, Integrity Music and it would be available for free on You Version. As of the time of filing this report, the application has over 100 million downloads on Google’s Play Store.
“In this 7-day devotional, Dunsin Oyekan examines the mysteries of Praise as the believer’s weapon. As you read about these Old and New Testament examples, be encouraged to wield this Spiritual Weapon in days of joy as much as in challenging moments. We would like to thank Integrity Music for providing this plan,” You Version wrote.
In a post shared with his followers across his social media platforms, The Eagle(as he is fondly called) said, “Worship must come from a place of TRUTH, so let’s get into God’s Word through my 7-Day Devotional on Judah: The Mysteries of Praise.
“For 7 days, we’ll uncover the supernatural power of praise. Through Old and New Testament examples, we will see times God guided His people to use this weapon. Come ready to understand how praise leads to breakthroughs, strengthens your faith, and aligns you with God’s plan.”
“You might wonder, what does an instrument of Praise have to do with entering into God’s Promise? Well, that is one of the mysteries of Praise,” You Version said.
The news has attracted a series of reactions from his colleagues and followers alike.
“God is calling us to praise this February. It’s no coincidence that this devotional is released in the same month as the Hallelujah Challenge, and on NSPPD, Pastor Jerry has asked us to come to the altar every day in February with our instrument of praise,” a user remarked.
Another follower @psalmistrebecka said the only thing missing is your voice on the audible devotional.” This is just as @thormiwa_04 tweeted “Wow. This is so timely. I can’t even wait to start. God bless you MD.”
