The Delta State Police Command will arraign the 67 individuals arrested for alleged homosexuality.
According to The PUNCH, this was disclosed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
The police spokesman stated that the command is actively working on determining the level of the suspects involvement of each of the suspects before their arraignment.
He also added that the suspects are cooperating with the police in their investigation.
PUNCH METRO reported that a total of 67 gay suspects arrested over alleged homosexuality at an all-night wedding reception at a popular hotel off Refinery Road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.
While addressing the incident,the state Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass, emphasised the importance of parents constantly monitoring the affiliations their children are involved in.
The Commissioner of Police, represented by the Public Relations Officer, Edafe, vehemently denounced homosexuality inside the state. He stated that the individuals in question were apprehended at a hotel where a group of suspected homosexual individuals were allegedly conducting a marriage ceremony.
