A notorious cultist, Godfrey Tietie popularly known as “Don Baby,” who has been terrorising Oghara Community and its environs in Ethiope-West Local Government Area has been arrested by the operatives of the Delta State Police Command.
The 40year old suspect was arrested at Ogorode road by Texaco in Sapele during a covert operation by the Police on August 20, 2023.
The Police also recovered from the suspect, a locally made revolver pistol.
The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Wale Abass confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, noting that a locally made revolver pistol was recovered from the suspect.
The PPRO said, “Investigation revealed that the suspect is a member of Aiye confraternity and is also suspected to be a gun runner who supplies guns to cultists in Sapele, Oghara, and environs.”
DSP Edafe noted that, ”Investigation is ongoing.”
