A Lagos High Court has adjourned the defamation suit filed by the Falanas against social media personality, Verydarkman, to April 15, 2025, for a hearing.
According to Channels, during the court session, the Falanas’ counsel, Omotayo Olatunbosun, dismissed a letter submitted by the defendants as a deliberate attempt to delay proceedings.
He described it as a “time-wasting tactic.”
Following the court’s directive, Olatunbosun proceeded to present his counter-affidavit challenging the preliminary objection raised by Verydarkman.
In a related development, sources confirmed that after complying with the pre-emptive remedy granted by Justice Dawodu, the Falanas have officially filed a substantive suit. This case has now been assigned to Justice Fimisola Azeez of the Lagos High Court, Ikeja.
